OnePlus is reportedly working on its first Turbo-branded smartphone. Some reports have claimed that it could be a new series from the brand. However, a new Weibo post by reliable tipster Digital Chat Station reveals that it will be part of the Ace series. Additionally, the tipster has once again shared the key specifications of the device.
OnePlus Ace 6 Turbo could be incoming
The above post by DCS reveals that the rumoured Turbo phone will be part of the Ace series. Therefore, it is likely that the device will be called the OnePlus Ace 6 Turbo. Since the official moniker is not known yet, it is advisable to wait for further reports to know its exact name.
OnePlus is scheduled to launch the OnePlus 15, Ace 6, and Pad 2 tablet on Oct. 27 in China. Hence, it appears that official details about the Ace 6 Turbo may surface in the coming month (November).
OnePlus Ace 6 specifications (rumored)
As per the latest leak by DCS, the OnePlus Ace 6 Turbo will be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. It will have an OLED display that supports a 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate.
He has also claimed that the Ace 6 Turbo will house a battery of around 8,000mAh capacity. This contradicts a previous leak, which suggested that it may pack a 7,650mAh battery.
There is a possibility that OnePlus could be working on two phones —one with a 7,650mAh battery, and one could be the Ace 6 Turbo with an 8,000mAh battery. The Turbo edition is also expected to support 100W fast charging, as per previous reports.
